Did you know that...

Do you know that fish are anglers too?

Many groups of fish are known as anglers or fishing-frogs and it is because of elongated frontal spine of dorsal fin. They entice a prey with a glittering angle that shines in the dark waters. Anglers do not have any scales, the longest of those do not exceed 1 m and after passing the meal (fish, prawn, squid or worm) to its mouth straight from an angle they rapidly close the jaws with bended teeth. The longest angles of all occur in anglers that hide in the darkest depths.
