Did you know that...

Do you know that half a thousand fish species emit its own light?

Some of the fish have in custom to swim for prey from the sea depths to the surface of water every day, but there are also such that hunt only in dark abysses, where light does not get. Many of them can emit its own light, due to specific light organs called photons. Light can be also produced by bacteria living in fish organs. Such lights function as reflectors helping fish in search for food or misleads predators, while deforming the outline of ‘glowing’ fish in such a way that it is unrecognizable. Fish that are pleased with the dark depths and do not visit surface, usually resemble terrifying monsters, due to their awkward shapes and scary teeth!
