Did you know that...

Do you know that flora and fauna of the Atlantic Ocean is poorer than in other oceans and still it is the main centre of fisheries in the world?

It is a result of the Ocean’s location – people from five continents have access to it.
The Atlantic Ocean provides over 30% of worlds marine fishing. Fish like cods, mackerels, herrings, tunas and sardines are of particular popularity. In the hot zone flora and fauna are equally diverse. These areas are covered with calcareous thallus of red and green algae. In the neighbourhood of river outlets underwater, wide sea grass meadows occur.
